Meet Dr. Douglass
Dr. Kelly Douglass was raised in rural Tuscaloosa County, where he attended Brookwood High School and then joined the Navy in 1989. He's a graduate of the University of Alabama, where he majored in Biology (PreMed) with a minor in Chemistry. He planned to become an orthopedic surgeon, but after shadowing local doctors, he realized that wasn't his passion. Fast forward about 10 years, he moved to Alaska to work as a Biologist on the "Deadliest Catch" boats in the Gulf of Alaska. While in Alaska, he married his wife Kristy & had a set of twins-McKinley & Lincoln. His son had numerous health issues and being that he & his wife were regular chiropractic patients they took him to the chiropractor after all other forms of medical help didn't produce results. The results they witnessed helped Dr. Douglass to realize & follow his passion, of becoming a chiropractor. He graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa in 2011. Upon graduating he moved to Tuscaloosa and purchased Capstone Chiropractic Center. Dr. Douglass has loved serving the Tuscaloosa community with chiropractic & nutrition services and hopes to continue to do so for the unforeseeable future.
